Buddys values your privacy and personal information. We work hard to keep your information secure. Here are some of the protections we use:

• All requests made from the app to the hosting server are encrypted over a secure SSL connection;​

• User passwords are stored as an encrypted format;​

• Users cannot access other user protected data using specific administrative permission policies;

• Buddys is hosted in an isolated environment that cannot interact with other platforms;

• All Buddys’ data is stored in a separate access-controlled service;

• The hosting platform is based within Amazon’s secure data centers and utilize the Amazon Web Service (AWS) technology;

• Password requirements include 8 characters, with one capital letter and one special character;​

• Users are required to submit their phone number during sign up to verify their identity using two-factor authentication.

Buddys’ mission is to provide meaningful connections with other users based on the information you share with our platform. Buddys must use the data you share with the platform to make those connections. We understand that some of the information you share with Buddys may be sensitive personal information. By choosing to provide this information to Buddys, you agree that Buddys can access and process that information and share it with other users as part of Buddys’ operation of its services.

You also agree that Buddys will process your messages and other in-platform communications as part of Buddys’ operation of its services.

Buddys may also collect ​shared data (information you provide about yourself to share with others), restricted data (like your name, email address, and date of birth), and data about how you use our platform. Buddys may aggregate or analyze data you share, including from more than one user and Buddys may share that data with our partners and/or vendors. ​

When you use Buddys, we collect information about which features you’ve used, how you’ve used them and the devices you use to access our services. We also collect information generated as you use our services, for example access logs, as well as information from third parties, like when you access our services through a social media account.

Buddys does not share information that could reasonably be used to identify you.
